Loïk Tcher

Loïk Tcher is a singer from Réunion, known for his performances in séga, séga-love and tropical music. Deeply attached to his roots, he has won over the Réunionese public with Creole lyrics about everyday life, love and human relationships.

Having grown up in Réunion, he was steeped from an early age in the island's musical heritage. His influences draw on the traditional rhythms of the Indian Ocean — séga, maloya — which he extends into a more contemporary sound: modern arrangements, keyboards and dance-ready grooves, without ever losing the soul of Réunionese music.

A grassroots performer, he plays regularly at village fairs, podiums, cabarets and island parties, carrying on the tradition of the « ambianceurs » who get the crowd dancing while saving room for great emotion. His repertoire includes « Ou Lavais Le Choix », « Nout' Love » and « L'Amitié ».
